Motor Laboratory Engineer/Technician to international company

Our client designs and manufactures motors adapted specially for use in their own products. In their spacious facility in Sundbyberg our client has a modern motor lab.
Most industries see a shift towards more efficient systems and high efficiency. A change from asynchronous motors towards motors run with variable frequency is important in achieving this. Our client has started this journey: to replace the traditional asynchronous motor with new PM motors with integrated embedded drives.
To strengthen their Motor Group, they are now looking for a Motor Laboratory Engineer / Technician to join their growing team. You will start out as employed by Academic Work, working as a consultant with our client but the ambition is that, if all parts are satisfied with the collaboration, this position will in the future lead to employment with our client.
In this role, you will be part of the R&D Motor Group in Sundbyberg and also work closely together with other development units as well as other laboratory units within for example M&C, hydraulics and mechanics.
Some tasks included in the role is:
Test both drive and electrical motor performance (efficiency, temperature, torque etc)
Plan and prepare motors and drives for tests which may include preparation of prototypes, modifications and mounting of sensors or other special equipment requiring good mechanical knowledge and effort
Perform measurement using various instruments like oscilloscope, voltmeter etc and perform maintenance on test equipment and measurement instruments
Contribute in continuous improvement and development activities related to motor testing documents and report test results
When required you may also be involved in other tests on our clients products.

For this role, a suitable background is electromechanical or mechanical engineer. You have a solid understanding and competence within electro from relevant previous working experience.
Relevant education (electromechanical och mechanical studies or similar)
Minimum 1 year relevant working experience resulting in competence within electrical installations and measurement systems.
Advanced skills in English since this is a global company, Swedish skills is a plus but not a requirement.
In addition to the above, knowledge and experience of data acquisition programming is an advantage but not a requirement.
