Manager, Maintenance Operational planning

In this role you will be in a key position to own and drive this change in our maintenance operations across KONE.

We are now looking for Manager, Maintenance Operational planning

In this role you will be responsible for the planning management model for our maintenance operations in order to enable our technicians to deliver the optimum service to our customers upon promise. You will be in charge to develop maintenance operations guiding planning and resourcing principles and to roll them out in all KONE frontline units.

Your main objective will be to support our areas and operational frontline units to become true professionals in operational planning & resourcing management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Development/implementation of operational planning model:

  • Own/Develop the operational planning model (consisting of guiding principles and rules) for our diverse maintenance activities (corrective and preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, service needs, …)

  • Design multi-level rules addressing global versus local flexibility with documented and trade-off rationales

  • Collaborate closely with development and expert teams to ensure the operative resources match with the maintenance model and the expected timing for the tasks

  • Validate any changes in rules through simulation with most of real-life dataset

  • Develop and implement an operational planning maturity model around customer centricity & quality/productivity & efficiency

  • Own the dispatching criteria for our field technicians and collaborate closely with teams developing new smart & green field services, validating the rules and success criteria for the project teams.

  • Own and develop the criteria to assign routes to technicians and the route optimization process, tools and guidelines.

  • Own/develop the role description of maintenance operational planning and resourcing manager at area and frontline units’ levels

  • Identify competence development and training needs for the target groups in question, ensure training material are created and trainings delivered

Performance enablement:

  • Responsible for positive development of several key performance indicators in quality, productivity, compliance to contractual agreements and regulations

  • Regularly monitor performance and trigger/share ad-hoc analysis & analytics to Areas and convert analysis outcome into concrete proposed focus area, priorities and/or improvement actions in calibrating dynamic scheduling engine

  • Communicate regularly on performance and share benchmark of frontline units’ practices

  • Support, coach in hands-on manner, operational planning and resourcing management in area and frontline to implement, ensure compliance and maintain the performance of end to end business processes (KONE Way)

  • Responsible for developing capacity planning/route optimization competences in frontlines and ensure a regular usage is done in frontline units

WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE

  • Excellent knowledge with proven record of leading planning and resourcing of service business operations with minimum 3-5 years’ experience

  • Conceptual thinking with ability to translate complexity to simple communication means and actionable requirements for system development and support

  • Strong service mindset

  • Excellent analytical skills and hands-on attitude to work with Areas on solving problems

  • Ability to deal with uncertainty

  • Willingness to travel

  • Positive and energetic attitude with a willingness to learn

  • Change management skills

  • Ability to thrive and deliver results across multiple geographical areas and cultures

  • Fluent in English with strong communication and influencing skills
