Our Organization
Concrete Surfaces and Floors is a Business Unit within the Husqvarna Construction Products Division. The BU´s global R&D organization consisting of 70 engaged employees distributed over 7 dedicated product teams located in Sweden, Bulgaria and India. We innovate within the areas of light compaction, concrete placement, rebar tying, floor sawing, floor grinding and polishing as well as dust and slurry handling equipment.

Our Mission is market leadership through sustainable and user-centric innovations for light construction equipment and related service offers. We are now accelerating our investments in the product development organization in Jonsered and are looking for an electrical engineer for our R&D Team Early-Entry Sawing and Concrete Trowels. 

You will report to the R&D Manager of the product line in Jonsered. These products are manufactured in USA, PRC and Bulgaria. We are a global R&D organization with teams in Sweden (Jonsered, Söderköping), Bulgaria (Ruse) and India (Nashik). You will occasionally team-up and contribute to the success of our other teams.

The electrical systems in our machines ranges from 12V DC to single and 3 phase AC, it controls combustion engines, motors, hydraulics, and embedded systems in various combinations.

Job Requirements

Your Responsibilities

  • Electrical engineering delivers through all phases of the product´s lifecycle, i.e. pre development, product development, maintenance, and elimination

  • Electrical system concepts and final design

  • Specification (SRS) of systems, subsystems and components

  • Development of 3D, 2D, BOM and other product definitions including their releases

  • Specifications intended for outsourced subsystem deliveries e.g. mainboards, motors, etc.

  • Assembly and verification of prototype systems and components

  • Defining test specifications for electrical systems, subsystems, and components

  • Act both as team member, single contributor, lead or systems engineer depending on the type of projects

Your Profile

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in engineering of electrical systems including cables and connectors, VFDs, motors, switches, converters, actuators, batteries, electronics, and software

  • Understand electrical regulations and standards, and their implications on machine design

  • Experienced with CATIA – Electrical or similar systems

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience

We also believe you are self-motivated, creative and an innovative team player. That you’d like to develop your technical skills and grow with your role in our company. You enjoy to work both structured an analytical as well as practical in our machine building workshop. You are fluent in Swedish and English. We also believe you have an interest in, or are curious about, construction in general and concrete in particular.
