Höganäs is the world leader in the development and manufacturing of metal powder based Soft Magnetic Composite (SMC) materials for a range of applications such as inductors, electric motors and fast switching actuators.
The Höganäs inductor systems team is focusing on developing our overall business related to the inductor application, targeting both automotive and various industrial applications.
We are now seeking an Electrical Engineer to strengthen our inductor development team.
In this position you will participate and lead development activities related to new inductor products and applications, as well as the development of methods and equipments for testing under application realistic conditions. The development activities relates to both the improvement of existing products as well as developing new inductor concepts and products, to meet the required performance and cost demands from the market to reach profitable business.
The position also includes the development of inductor design models and tools. The development work is conducted individually and in projects within the inductor development team, as well as in cooperation with other departments and development groups. It includes both practical/experimental work as well as theoretical analysis and reporting. Specific projects are also conducted in cooperation with our sales organisation and customers.
The position reports to the development manager.
In this position you will have:
- Minimum BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in electric circuits and passive components is desirable
- Experience in CAD,Mathlab is desirable
- English, both written and spoken.
- Computer literacy, req. Excel and Word.
- Responsible for specific development activities
- Participate and lead development projects
- Participate and lead customer development projects
- Contribute in business intelligence work
- Provide background data to market communication
Who are you?
You should have a Master or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and it is desirable with experience of electric circuits, passive components and/or electromagnetic applications or material.
Qualified working experience is desirable but not required.
It is important to be able to work efficiently both individually and in teams. The ideal candidate should also take initiatives and efficiently drive assigned tasks and projects striving to constantly improve methods as well as creativity in order to reach the defined targets. Specific projects will be conducted together with customers and other external partners and participation in international conferences is envisaged why some global travelling might be required. Fluent in English both orally and written is also required.
Global travelling, 20-30 days per year.
