Job description
You will work in a highly motivated team working together with our customers in the Nordic region. The primary focus of this role is to formulate sound commercial structures and lead the commercial team from bid submission through to finalizing the contract in the telecom project. You will also play an important part in the sales- and bidding process. In addition you will be responsible for sales contracts review and negotiation for Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. and its local representative offices, focusing on contract quality, reporting to the Director of Huawei local representative office and the Director of the Contract & Negotiation Department in Huawei CEE & Nordic Sub-regional Headquarter.
Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial team and support technical/service team in the preparation of bid packages in the project team during bidding phase
- Designing business model
- Making response (SOC) and proposals to the terms & conditions of contract template and other commercial requirements
- Calculating commercial costs and providing such cost to technical/service team
- Formulating commercially sound terms and conditions for proposals
- Identifying potential commercial risks and liabilities associated with the proposal
- Risk-analyzing and suggesting constructive solutions to contract decision-making team
- Taking part in clarification on contractual and commercial matters related to the proposal
Negotiation
- Organizing the negotiation on contractual and commercial matters related
- Being the negotiator / chief negotiator during negotiation and responsible for the terms & conditions of contract
- Review sales contract before signing
- Coordinating other dept. including technical, legal, finance, supply chain, service etc. to review contractual documentations to ensure the compliance of company policy
- Preparing contractual documentation and negotiate contractual and commercial matters with regard to the contracts and amendment.
Contract Evaluation and Improvement
- Summarizing the contract terms and making evaluation on signed contracts
- Making up benchmark of contract terms & conditions
- Setting the improvement plan on key contract article
- Enhancing the contract quality and transaction quality
Others
- Provide commercial advice to subsidiary business operations including internal training
- Share experience in bidding and/or contract negotiation process by providing quarterly case study
- Performing other related functions as required by Huawei local subsidiary and Huawei Contract & Negotiation Dept in headquarter.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree or higher, majored in business, finance, international trade, international economics, law, or an MBA, etc.
• Minimum 1 year of direct experience in bid/contract management, other desired experience would be finance, sales and marketing, legal or commercial management. Working experience in telecom industry is preferable.
• Ability to draft legally effective commercial contract terms
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced changing environment.
• Proficiency in English language and good writing skills are essential.
• Ability to travel overseas for business trip.
• Ability to use MS Office computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Organization
The Commercial Manager will work within the C&N dept. of CEE & Nordic organization. The Nordic & Baltic organization is managed from Kista, Sweden. Location of this position is in Kista, Sweden. Traveling is seen as a natural part of this position.
